Our Journey Towards Sustainability
2025 for Kátua is about continuing our journey towards sustainability and ethical production. We are constantly improving our sustainability efforts for the sake of our planet, and it’s something we keep at the forefront of our daily decision-making. Over the last four years, we have started slowly, breaking down our processes and identifying where we can make the greatest impact. We began by incorporating new fabrics made from natural fibers, and we’ve enhanced this with a combination of recyclable packaging, biodegradable and recycled inks, including our shipping wallets, garment bags, packing lists, and order packaging.
Today, we are proud to say that our Kátua Store bags are made from 100% recyclable, natural-origin materials like linen and cotton.

Material
In 2019, we decided to focus on increasing our use of natural fiber fabrics, which have continued to improve and grow over the last four years. Since then, we have successfully doubled our use of natural fibers, primarily cotton and linen, and over 60% of our designs are now made from a majority blend of cotton/linen/other natural fibers, with more than 40% of our designs being crafted from 100% natural fibers.
We are working hard to further break down our material supply chain by becoming more involved in its production and sourcing, which will continue to be a major focus for us in 2025.
